MISSOULA, Mont. — The Montana Historical Society announced a Sunburst woman is honored as the Centennial Bell Montana History Teacher of the Year. Hali Richmond is a third and fourth grade teacher at Sunburst Elementary School. She earned her education degree at the University of Montana and is continuing her education to gain her master's degree there. Richmond first started her career teaching in a one-room schoolhouse in Sunset School near Missoula and at Galata School near Shelby, where she taught every subject and grade level.
